I'm not from the Lawrence area and chose a florist I was not familiar with. When I got to the wake I was so pleased to see how full and big the standard sized Spray was. I definitely would recommend Mendez Flowers to the local community and wish I lived closer to make them "my" florist.

I ordered this arrangement for our front lobby / reception area. Several of the flowers were wilting, browning, and or shriveled up. I sent photos to the florist the next day. First thing the following morning, someone contacted me to apologize & informed me that it could have been the high temperatures affecting the flowers. They sent a new bouquet within hours. The second bouquet was as expected. It was similar, but with fresh white lilies, & vibrant flowers. I appreciated the quality customer service and would certainly do business with them again.

This order was made from out of the area - its always a little but daunting when you are not there to see everything happen. You have to put a lot of trust in the vendor. This was a funeral arrangement, and so it would have been easy to get lost in the shuffle of flowers coming into the venue. In this case, the trust was very well placed. The communication was great, I knew exactly when it was delivered. I was told that it was a beautiful arrangement, and the card was written exactly as requested. Thank you!

So the flowers are beautiful, the delivery was bizarre.
The delivery man made a lot of effort to try to find my recipient and she actually thought he was some creep calling, over and over again until it clicked that he was delivering flowers.
She called him back and I said she would come to him come
But When she went out in her hallway he was already wandering around looking for the place.
So maybe leaving a message when calling saying who you are and what you’re calling about?
Flowers though are worth the confusion of delivery

The flowers were delivered on time. Some of the fan all rose’s were dead. Disappointed that on such a special occasion my wife receives flowers that look like they came from the cemetery. I expected better quality from a flower shop. Won’t be ordering from Mendez florist again, all the have is one job quality flowers for special occasion. And they can do that well, they shouldn't be in the business of doing something they are not good at.

We decided to send our daughters flowers for their birthday this year, delivered to their office. I looked up florists in Lawrence and found Mendez only a mile from our daughter. I ordered using their website and it was quick and easy, with a large selection to chose from. The arrangement was delivered before noon and they were better than expected. Highly disappointed. There was sooo much baby’s breath I just don’t understand. The vase I received is not the one that I picked online. I wanted the silver vase. I picked it for that reason I got a cheap glass vase. I was very unimpressed for 155$ I will not be ordering from this place again. The flowers were gorgeous but they are roses that is expected.
