A Vermont native and long-term Charlottesville resident, Karen is a talented designer with over a decade of experience creating arrangements and orchestrating events. She is constantly sourcing new flowers from an array of suppliers and growers, as well as occasionally foraging on her own property! Residing on a farm on the outskirts of Charlottesville, Karen is always looking for ways to further her commitment to sustainability. She is an enthusiastic supporter of local growers and works hard to support Virginia businesses. Karen's creative and talented design staff is singularly focused to provide you with special floral presentations that help you mark birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or even no reason at all! Our goal is to provide happiness through our flowers, and we hope that blooms from Hedge will become an established routine in your everyday life, as well as beautiful markers of special occasions. In some instances, the florists’ photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated. Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you've selected, the local florist will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone. Florists that offer same day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences. Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in advance.
