I wished to send flowers to my sister-in-law who was in Florida for the winter and I live in West Texas. I googled florists in area and found Exceptional Flowers & Gifts. I ordered off their website. It was easy and quick to do. The flowers and birthday message were delivered as promised on the proper day. They did a good job and my sister-in-law called to praise the beautiful bouquet she received. I would recommend the fine work of this florist. The only shock was the exorbitant delivery fee they charged to do so!

We have to take special care when delivering flower arrangements in glass vases, vehicles must be properly equipped and deliveries must be coordinated to ensure efficient and successful delivery. It is a lot that goes into the process and what we charge our customers is what we are charged by the delivery service we currently utilize.

Exceptional Flowers is absolutely amazing! I have been looking for an honest, dependable local florist in the Boca area for close to 20 years that I can reliably use to send flowers to my mother in law. I found Exceptional during the week before Mother's Day and decided to use them to send my MIL's favorites, sunflowers. I indicated in the comments section of the order form that I only wanted sunflowers so if they didn't have them, to please let me know, because I didn't want a substitute. I got an email almost immediately from the owner, assuring me that they had plenty of sunflowers. I also inquired about whether we should have the flowers delivered on Friday vs Saturday because I was worried that if my mother in law wasn't home on Saturday that the flowers would languish until Monday. Again I got an immediate response from the owner saying that if Saturday didn't work they would deliver on Sunday --Mother's Day! When the flowers were delivered (she reported they were beautiful), the card was missing so my MIL didn't know who sent them. So she called Exceptional who immediately checked and found that the card had been separated during delivery and they drove back right away to her house to deliver it. Incredible service and on a very busy flower delivery day! I have definitely found my local florist and won't go anywhere else in the future.

While the chocolates that I purchased with this order were fabulous, the flower arrangement was such a disappointment from the photo that my aunt sent to me. Nothing at all like what is described and shown online. A very small arrangement, and the flowers were nothing like those that are shown. I purchased two other arrangements recently, one in NY and the other this one, you would think the NY arrangement would have been more expensive and the flowers less fresh, being that FL is "the sunny state" and has a vast array of flowers available - but just the opposite. I'm so disappointed in the arrangement my aunt received for her first valentines without my uncle since his passing. She was grateful and surprised, but I was really disappointed.

Heather contacted us with her disappointment. She accused us of sending out the flowers in a cardboard box... we don't use cardboard boxes to hold flower arrangements containing water. The boxes are good quality, WOODEN boxes. I sent pics of the box and text and was answered with "stop texting me". I tried to explain to heather our position and the bad quality photo that was sent to me, showing the flowers. The arrangement photo was a side corner shot that didn't show the flowers in a good light. The $88 arrangement has $52 in flowers retail. You certainly cannot see them in the pic that was sent to heather. Also, we get NONE of our flowers from Florida, the sunshine state. Our flowers come from Holland, South America, California and parts of the usa. I tried to explain about the flowers and bad pic, but heather simply wasn't interested in hearing the truth. She simply hung up on me. I tried to call back and it went direct to voicemail. Few moments later, this review. I have contacted the recipient to get more pics, and im even willing to driver there to take my own images to send to heather. The pic sent to heather from recipient looked horrible and nothing like the work we do or the arrangement that was ordered. She was grateful and surprised... Guess those are bad things these days. Heather kept reiterating that the recipient received a cardboard/ plastic box.. I explained that the boxes are WOOD and that it's lined with cellophane to protect the wood from moisture.. She had it in her head that we were lying so i sent her pics of the cellophane and several of the WOODEN Box. Her response " Stop texting me". Nice, right?! I will do what I always do. I will make it right with the customer. I will show a better pic of what was sent, and send to heather. I am passionate about my business and my product. And I will defend both. And if wrong, which isn't too often, we will make it right. I'm sorry you hung up on my so abruptly heather. We are nothing like you're conjuring in your head. We are the good guys. You just don't know it. All your assumptions and accusations were wrong, but you didn't care about right and wrong...You just wanted to be heard, even if your review was incorrect and biased. And all this was from you looking a terrible picture of one of our smaller flower arrangements.

I really appreciated the pic prior to it being delivered because it was not truly what I had ordered. It was a different pot, which I did not like, and the plant arrangement was smaller and thinner than shown in the picture that I had chosen. However, Antonio (who I was texting with) was very accommodating to my wants and offered a totally different arrangement (which ended up being flowers, not a plant). And we tweaked it until I was happy. So, the service and desire to make me happy was excellent but i deducted one star because the picture that I had originally wanted and ordered was not the same as what I ordered. But I really appreciated the customer service provided!

Disappointed as it was titled Lovely "Lavender", and the reason I specifically ordered this arrangement, but none of the flowers were lavender (maroon orchids). Also, more expensive than other florists in town.

Hi and thank you for your comments. The lovely lavender you received contained Lavender Roses. The Cymbidium orchids were marroon, as product was limited, scarce, and still kept in line with the color palette. As far as price goes, we have a standard labor percentage as well as standard markups in the industry. It's not that we are overly expensive, it's the fact that other florists use cookie cutter websites that rarely have flower arrangements over $150.00 After 30 years in bus iness, we have built an impressive base of customers that will spend on quality and the skills/talents of our designers. Our prices and markup are no different than most florists. Also, the cost of flowers have doubled since way before the holidays. Bad weather and logistics have wreaked havoc on our industry. We absorbed the increase costs as much as we can, but we aren't in business to lose money. I hope we're given another chance to earn your business.

A little disappointed in the amount of color there was in the delivered bouquet. The online description said "Bouquet will be delivered approximately as pictured." for the standard (which I ordered). I did ask that the sunflowers be the focal point. Upon delivery there there were 2 types of flowers (red roses and sunflowers) with a couple greens, as opposed to the 6 flowers pictured and more greens.

I needed a nice plant to send to my daughter as it was the anniversary of her fathers passing, and we could not send flowers to the cemetery where he was up north. I called and verified the dish garden I was going to order could be kept outside on a balcony if need be. They were very helpful and confirmed it would be fine. I place my order last minute (as usual), so delivery was initially scheduled for the Monday after Mother's Day. Exceptional, however, made me look good by delivering a great arrangement of flowers on Mother's Day. They even called me beforehand to let me know which flowers were available/unavailable, due to the current situation, which told me they care about their customers and the quality of their product. I ordered this bouquet for my mom on Mother's Day. She sent me a pic of what came. Needless to say, her bouquet did not resemble the one pictured. There were fewer flowers, they weren't as neat-looking, there was no green leaf at the base, no raffia tie. It was truly a disappointment.

The arrangement showed up with the wrong container. The white container is part of the "marshmallow" appearance, but it arrived with an ordinary clear bulb shaped container. So not only was the color wrong, the shape was wrong too. The color of the roses were also wrong--they were not the white-ish pink roses pictured that are needed for the "marshmallow" look. The number of flowers was also short-changed. I paid for the "premium" version but only got the standard.

The Deluxe Be Blessed Bouquet I ordered for my mom's birthday was initially stunning. My mom was thrilled to receive this arrangement. Sadly, the blooms did not last more than a week. She was disappointed that the roses didn't open and the lilies wilted so quickly. She said the arrangement had to be discarded about 3 days after receipt as the flowers died and began to smell of decay. This was not a cheap purchase. I was upset this gift ended up a flop. :o(
