In 1937, Shigeichi and Yukie Nakamoto had one vision: To share the highest quality flowers with Hawai‘i. Driven by a desire to make people smile, the couple opened Beretania Florist on Nov. 19, 1937, in Honolulu.
Eighty years later, their vision for a happy and beautiful community lives on through one simple gesture: the gift of a flower.
Today, Beretania Florist continues to thrive, and currently is owned and operated by Celeste Nakamoto Farinas — Shigeichi and Yukie's granddaughter. Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you've selected, the local florist will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone. Florists that offer same day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
